Our mission statement

Here at Oreo and Friends, it our ongoing mission is to:

Whether we’re teaching people all about Oreo and his friends, helping people to understand why most of our animals shouldn’t be kept as pets, or simply advising people on animal care in general, education is always our highest priority. Only through helping others to better understand how to care for our furry friends can we hope to reduce the number of animals, exotic or domestic, being kept in inappropriate or cruel conditions.

It’s plain to see that we’re passionate about animals – and we want to share our love for these amazing creatures with you! We love being able to give people a chance to interact with a range of animals that they may never have even heard of before, and give them an experience they’ll never forget. We also aim to use our passion for animals to help our guests to overcome their phobias – so if you have a fear of spiders or snakes, for example, we’d love to give you the chance to rid yourself of it forever!

…for animals that is! We are always working to raise exotic animal awareness in particular, in an effort to combat the recent rise in the number of specialist exotics being kept in unsuitable conditions as household pets (for more information, visit our awareness page). We are also taking on an ever increasing number of rescue cases, and we are committed to giving these lost souls a second chance. Animals are our life, and we feel it is our duty to do all we can to help.
